The Executive Secretary of the Bureau for Mines and Solid Minerals, Hon. Stephen Aondona Uta, visited Jato-Aka on Saturday, October 4, 2025, to supervise the ongoing free medical outreach he sponsored for the people of Turan in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.
Addressing patients and the crowd that gathered to welcome him at the venue, Hon. Uta emphasized that the medical outreach was a fulfillment of his promise to God that he would give back to society if he received blessings.
He urged the people of Turan to take advantage of the outreach and avail themselves for treatment, assuring them that those with severe cases would be referred to tertiary medical facilities for further care.
Hon. Uta further donated hospital beds to enable patients to stay comfortably and announced an extension of the medical outreach for one day to accommodate more people.
He commended the medical team led by Dr. Thaddeus Aende for their resilience and professionalism, charging them to continue working in the best interest of the community.
Receiving the items on behalf of the health facility, the Officer in charge Primary Health Care Jato-Aka Mrs. Nguveren Kose described the gesture as uncommon, stressing that the community was receiving such a relief for the first time.
She appreciated the gesture and called on the people to continue to pray for the benefactor for more blessings.
